Fun run, dance ball to raise funds for Marinduque school

The Mogpog Central School Alumni Association Inc. (MCSAAI) is holding sports and wellness activities and a dance ball in Mogpog town, Marinduque province, on May 25 to gather alumni and their families for a good cause.

The event starts with the Marinduque Family Color Fun Run at 5 a.m., followed by a Zumba session at 6:30 a.m.

It will be capped by Baile de Mogpog at 7 p.m. at the Mogpog covered court.

Proceeds will be used to assist teachers of Mogpog Central School (MCS) in honing their skills and to provide students with educational tools, materials and infrastructure.

MCSAAI is also planning to construct a green building at MCS, envisioned to be the first environment-friendly structure in Marinduque.

Registration for all events is ongoing, while on-site registration for the fun run will start at 4 a.m. on May 25, with the starting gun firing off at 5 a.m.

Zumba registration starts at 5:30 a.m., while Baile de Mogpog starts at 7 p.m.
