Car plows into other vehicles in failed escape attempt in Manila
MANILA, Philippines — A car crashed into other vehicles and properties as the driver tried to evade traffic enforcers on Monday in Manila, police said.
A police report from the Manila Police District (MPD) said the accident occurred at 9 a.m. on Monday along Recto Avenue near Quezon Boulevard and J.P. Laurel Street in Manila.
Police said a certain Frankie Mark Serrano or Marck B. Santos could be the driver of the
Toyota Vios that figured in the multiple collision accident.
Police said the suspect was traveling along Recto Avenue going to Sta. Mesa Manila when he was flagged down by a traffic enforcer for an infraction.
However, while talking to the enforcer, the suspect suddenly sped away, crashing into other cars, police said.
The suspect, along with his unidentified companion, left his car along Mabini bridge in Legarda, Manila and fled on foot.
