The RHS Back to Nature Garden is designed by the Duchess of Cambridge and landscape architects Andrée Davies and Adam White of Davies White Landscape Architects in preparation for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The garden is located in a woodland setting as a place for families and communities to appreciate and enjoy nature.
“I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young children,” Kate said in a statement via the Royal Family’s Facebook page, which posted the photos.
“I really hope that this woodland that we have created really inspires families, kids and communities to get outside, enjoy nature and the outdoors, and spend quality time together.”
According to the RHS official website, the garden includes a specially crafted log for children to climb, a waterfall, den, stream and tree house.
The RHS garden is included in its partnership efforts with National Health Service England, which promotes physical and emotional wellbeing through green spaces.
Also known as the “Great Spring Show,” the RHS Chelsea Flower Show is a garden show held at the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in Chelsea, London. The garden show usually runs for five days in the month of May.
The Chelsea Flower Show 2019 will run from May 21 to 25. JB
