Fire hits milk tea shop under renovation in Glorietta 2

MANILA, Philippines — A fire damaged a milk tea shop under renovation at Glorietta 2 mall in Makati City on Sunday night, the Makati Central Fire Station said.

The fire broke out at the shop at 6:05 p.m., according to fire station radio operator, Maria Wilma Picao.

The first alarm was raised merely five minutes later.

Six fire trucks were immediately deployed to the scene, and firefighters successfully put out the blaze at 6:31 p.m.

Picao said that they had yet to receive any information if any individuals were hurt in the fire.

“Negative pa po sa cause of fire. Yung imbestigador po natin nasa Glorietta pa,” told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview.
