Latest PPCRV tally: JV, Bam out of  Magic 12

MANILA, Philippines – Reelectionist senators JV Ejercito and Bam Aquino failed to crack the Magic 12 of the midterm elections; senatorial derby, based on the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting’s (PPCRV) latest partial and unofficial count Friday night.

The PPCRV, as of 7:52 p.m. Friday, has so far tallied votes from 86,047 out of 87,851 vote counting machines nationwide (97.95 percent).

Eight party-list groups meanwhile are poised to get at least one seat in the House of Representatives based on

Senator Cynthia Villar is still pacing the senatorial race with 25,052,185 votes.

The other candidates in the top 12 are:

Ejercito is in 13th place with 14,190,534 votes, followed by Aquino with 14,059,396 votes.

Ejercito trails Binay by 225,647 votes.

In the party-list race, ACT-CIS still leads with 2,604,523 votes or 9.46 percent of votes, followed by the following groups:

Party-list groups with at least two percent of total votes cast will earn a seat in the House of Representatives, while what remains of the 59 seats allocated to party-list groups will be divided among party-list groups that got more than two percent of total votes.  (Editor: Gilbert S. Gaviola)
