3 killed in Tarlac road mishap
MANILA, Philippines—An eight-year-old girl along with two others were killed when the van they were riding rammed a tractor in Tarlac Tuesday, a police official said Wednesday.
Highway Patrol Group director Chief Superintendent Leonardo Espina said that eight-year-old Lyka Mae Del Mundo along with Mike Bugnay, 54, and Mila Lagasca, 60, along with five other passengers were onboard the van (NIO-679) that figured in the accident.
Citing a report from Region 3 HPG, Espina said that the van driven by Angel Taynan, 41, crashed into a parked tractor (TMP-963) along Nam Kwang road in Gerona, Tarlac at around 3 a.m.
Taynan and his five other passengers sustained injuries in the accident and were rushed to Gerona & Jecson Hospital for medical treatment.
Del Mundo, Bugnay and Lagasca were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, said Espina. Roemart Tamayo
