2 hurt as truck rams 5 vehicles in Isabela
CITY OF ILAGAN, Philippines – An Elf truck crashed into five vehicles, injuring two persons at the national road here on Thursday, police said.
Police Capt. Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson, said the mechanical break of the truck driven by Virgilio Aunzo, 49, of Cabiseria 6-24, malfunctioned while traversing the road in Calamagui 2nd village at about 9:30 a.m.
Littaua said the truck then rammed three parked tricycles, a motorcycle and a passenger van, injuring Juanito Calapoto, 34, and his daughter Jansen, 12.
The victims, who were both occupants of one of the parked tricycles, were brought to the Faustino Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital for treatment.
