Camarines Norte gov wins third term

NAGA CITY — Reelectionist Camarines Norte Governor Edgar Tallado has won his third term in this year’s midterm elections.

The Commission on Elections proclaimed Tallado winner in Camarines Norte around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Tallado garnered 149,002 votes while his rival Cathy Barcelona-Reyes had 104,635 votes.

Tallado, who was supposed to be in his last term, was allowed to run after serving a suspension order by the Ombudsman for grave misconduct in 2018.

Late Wednesday night, Tallado’s wife, Josefina was also proclaimed the new representative of the first district of Camarines Norte. (EditorLeti Boniol)
