Suspected drug pusher dead in Laguna
SAN PEDRO CITY — A suspected drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Calamba City in Laguna province on Thursday morning.
Laguna police chief Col. Eleazar Matta, in a text message, said the buy-bust happened at 2:35 a.m. in Barangay (village) Pansol and targeted Jaypee Andrade, 28.
Andrade allegedly opened fire, forcing police officers to shoot him down. He was taken to a hospital in Calamba City but died on the way.
Police said Andrade was included in its list of “high-value targets.”
Police recovered a .38 caliber gun, counterfeit money worth P29,000, and a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth). Maricar Cinco (Editor: Leti Boniol)
