Defective SD cards delay canvassing of votes in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY -— The canvassing of votes in Albay was delayed again, two days after the elections, due to defective SD cards in three towns and cities.

Neil Canicula, acting provincial election supervisor said Wednesday that the reconfiguring of SD cards in two precincts in Ligao City, one in Legazpi City and Daraga town caused the delay.

Canicula said if all votes would be transmitted Wednesday, the Board of Canvassers (BOC) would proclaim the winners at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
