MANILA, Philippines – After serving three terms as congressman, Toby Tiangco is set to again assume as mayor of Navotas.
Tiangco was proclaimed mayor-elect of the northern Metro Manila city on Tuesday night.
He garnered 78,778 votes against rival Di Ang who got 33,216 votes, a report from Radyo Inquirer 990 AM said Wednesday morning.
His running mate Clint Geronimo was elected vice mayor after getting votes of 62,460.
Geronimo’s opponent, RC Cruz, obtained 46,680 votes.
Meanwhile, Tiangco’s brother, former mayor John Rey Tiangco, was proclaimed congressman.
He received 80,265 votes, while his opponent Marielle del Rosario got 30,050 votes.
