Villar, ACT-CIS keep lead in unofficial PPCRV count

With 97% of election returns in, reelectionist senator Cynthia Villar has maintained her lead as well as the Erwin Tulfo-backed ACT-CIS party-list

MANILA, Philippines — Re-electionist Sen. Cynthia Villar has maintained her lead as well as the Erwin Tulfo-backed ACT-CIS party-list based on the latest partial and unofficial count of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).

As of 9:22 p.m., data from the PPCRV showed Villar so far got 24,565,351 votes, followed by fellow re-electionist Sen. Grace Poe with 21,476,152 votes.

The following three other candidates also retained their places in the top five of the senatorial race:

Following are the natorial candidates in the 6th to 12th slots:

Re-electionist Sen. JV Ejercito is still on the brink of losing his bid as he placed 13th with 13,914,297 votes.

Highest-placing opposition candidate Sen. Bam Aquino was trailing behind at the 14th spot with 13,804,138 votes.

Meanwhile, ACT-CIS was still in the lead in the party-list race with 2,557,828 votes, followed by:
