Take down your posters, Comelec's Jimenez tells candidates

MANILA, Philippines — Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesperson James Jimenez reminded all candidates who participated in the midterm elections to help in taking down their campaign posters.

“Hey candidates — winners and also-rans — tapos na ang #NLE2019. Take down your posters na. #VoterEd,” Jimenez said in a twitter post.

Under election rule, candidates for elections should immediately remove their campaign posters after the election day.

Elections for national and local positions were held Monday, May 13, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

According to Comelec chairman Sheriff Abas, as of 11 a.m., 96.7 percent of votes have already been transmitted to the Comelec.
