Camille Villar proclaimed Las Piñas congresswoman

MANILA, Philippines — Camille Villar, the daughter of Senator Cynthia Villar and businessman Manny Villar, won as congresswoman of the lone district of Las Piñas City.

A document released by the City Board of Canvassers on Tuesday said Camille Villar garnered 173,917 votes, while her lone opponent Jerry delos Reyes got 19,791 votes.

Villar cornered 89.78 percentage of the total votes in the city, the document showed.

Meanwhile, Commission on Elections data showed that 208,736 out of 328,384 registered voters in Las Piñas cast their votes in Monday’s polls for a 63.56 percent voter turnout.

Camille ran under the Nacionalista Party.
