ILOILO CITY — The Iloilo City board of canvassers has proclaimed Iloilo Rep. Jerry Treñas as mayor-elect of Iloilo City along with his running mate Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon.
Also proclaimed was former city councilor Julienne “Jam Jam” Baronda as representative-elect of the city’s lone district.
Treñas won by a large margin over six other candidates including his brother-in-law Iloilo City Mayor Jose “Joe” Espinosa III.
Ganzon won over three other candidates including closest rival city councilor Plaridel Nava II.
In the congressional race, Baronda also won by a landslide against three other candidates including closest rival city councilor Joshua Alim. (Editor: Leti Boniol)
