CAMARINES SUR, Philippines — The conduct of the 2019 midterm elections here  was “peaceful and normal,” police said.

Camarines Sur chief of police Col. Roderico Roy Jr. said that while there were reports of threats, no one has been reported wounded or harmed since the election period started and until Monday’s polls.

“The elections were peaceful and normal because of our preparation to make sure that the election would be safe,”  Roy said, adding that they are hoping this continues until the winning candidates is proclaimed.
