More than a thousand inmates of the Cebu City Jail male dormitory have cast their votes during the local and national elections on Monday.
A tweet by GMA News’ Maki Pulido said 1,095 out of the 5,775 inmates were able to vote.

According to the report, the cut-off time for inmates to vote was 2 p.m. to give the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) ample time to transport the ballots to precincts so they could be fed into the vote-counting machines. (GMA Eleksyon 2019)
