12:19 PM May 13, 2019

MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City mayoral candidate Vicente “Bingbong” Crisologo underwent inquest proceedings on Monday, Election Day.

According to a report on GMA News, Crisologo is facing complaints such as unjust vexation, direct assault and obstruction of justice after he allegedly tried to stop the arrest of his supporters who are supposedly involved in a vote-buying incident in Bahay Toro on Sunday.

Crisologo already denied involvement in vote-buying. He claimed that he merely questioned the protocol implemented in the police operation.

He appealed to his supporters to visit him at Camp Karingal where he is detained with his son, lawyer Edrix Crisologo. (GMA Eleksyon 2019)
