2 bodies found

The body of a still unidentified teenage boy was fished out of the Pasig River in Pandacan, Manila, the other day. Case investigator SPO1 Gerardo Rivera of the Manila Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (MPD-CIDU) described the victim as around 14 to 15 years old, of slim build and with dark complexion. The teenager was clad only in his underwear when he was spotted by the crew of a motor boat at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Police investigators said there was a bruise on the victim’s forehead.  Meanwhile, a 78-year-old man suffering from tuberculosis died on a sidewalk in Ermita, Manila, Thursday morning.  PO3 Amelito Lopez of the MPD-CIDU said the body of the victim, Gabino Lucas, did not bear any sign of injury when it was discovered by his niece, Rosalinda Bautista. Bautista told the police that she last saw her uncle at around 3 a.m. before he went to sleep on the sidewalk. Karen Boncocan, Inquirer.net
