Susan Roces casts vote early in San Juan

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Susan Roces cast her vote Monday at Xavier School in San Juan.

Roces is the mother of reelectionist Senator Grace Poe.

“Buti na yung maaga, hindi pa siksikan,” Roces said during a chance interview with reporters after she cast her vote.

When asked about her expectation on the elections’ results, Roces said: “Walang katiyakan. Lahat naman aktibong nangampanya kaya let’s just wish for the best.”

Roces expressed joy to see Filipinos exercising their right to vote.

“Masaya ako dahil very enthusiastic ang ating mga kababayan na gamitin ang karapatan para ihalal ang mga inaakala nilang makakapagsilbi ng maayos sa ating bayan,” Roces said.

The latest pre-election polls survey by Pulse Asia showed Poe on second to third place with 47.7 percent voter preference, trailing behind reelectionist Senator Cynthia Villar who had 55.9 percent voter preference. (Editor: Cenon B. Bibe Jr.)
