Duterte: Nowhere else to go but hell for Sison and me

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte said that both he and exiled communist rebel leader Jose Maria “Joma” Sison had nowhere else to go but hell.

In his speech on Saturday during the mitín de avance of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan’s (PDP-Laban) in Pasig, Duterte took another shot at Sison, saying that he would be happy to got to hell with the communist leader.

“Itong Communist Party na ito… I think hintayin na lang natin na matapos ang natural life nila pati akin,” he said. “Kasi matanda naman si Sison… I’d be happy to go with him hand in hand to the mouth of hell. ‘Di man talaga kami mapunta ng langit. Talagang impyerno yan.”

[This Communist Party… I think we should just wait for its natural life, as well as mine, to end. Sison is already old… I’d be happy to go with him hand in hand to the mouth of hell. We won’t go to heaven. It’s really hell for us.]
