The official hymn of Roxas City in Capiz province titled “Ang Banwa Kong Pinalangga (The Province I Love)” was played and sung for the first time during the 50th anniversary of Roxas as a chartered city in 2001.

The song was written and composed by local artist Lino F. Villaruz, who won the songwriting competition for the Roxas City hymn. It was the first official hymn of Roxas City, which is known for its seafood products.

The province of Aurora was transferred to the jurisdiction of Central Luzon by virtue of Executive Order No. 103 signed by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Aurora was previously under the jurisdiction of Southern Tagalog region, which was divided into Calabarzon (Region 4A) and Mimaropa (Region 4B) through the same executive order.

A largely agricultural province, Aurora produces palay, coconut, banana and corn.
