Pro-admin slate to cap off campaign in Pasig

MANILA, Philippines — The senatorial slate of the country’s ruling party, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), will wrap up their campaign in Pasig City on Saturday.

Supporters of the PDP-Laban senatorial slate as well as those of guest candidates started to flock to the Philippine Sports Arena along Meralco Avenue even before their bets arrive.

The five-man senatorial slate of the PDP-Laban include re-electionist Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, Maguindanao Rep. Dong Mangudadatu, former chief of police Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, former presidential aide Bong Go, and former presidential adviser Francis Tolentino.

No less than President Rodrigo Duterte, chairman of PDP-Laban, is scheduled to grace the event together with the slate’s campaign manager, Senator Manny Pacquiao.

Administration-backed candidates have dominated the recent pre-election surveys.
