MANILA, Philippines — A trailer truck hauling several tall metal pipes caused traffic jam on Saturday as its cargo clipped the edge of a foot bridge along Talakitok Street, C-3 Road in Manila.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Spokesperson Celine Pialago said that the trailer truck accidentally hit a foot bridge, causing its cargo to fall.
Pialago added that the incident affected the traffic flow near Mabini Avenue to Rizal Avenue, 5th Avenue at 9 a.m.
She added that a mini van also got caught in the accident.
Netizen Vic Thor was able to take a photo of the situation.
According to Pialago, all affected roads are now passable to motorists as of 11:24 a.m. after the obstructions have already been cleared. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
