Expect cloudy skies, scattered rain in Luzon, parts of Visayas and Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will continue to have cloudy skies and scattered rains, the state weather bureau said Friday.
There are no weather disturbances near Luzon but the southwesterly surface windflow is bringing the gloomy weather, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The low pressure area (LPA) near Mindanao combined with the intertropical convergence zone will bring overcast skies and scattered rains over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao region, according to Pagasa.
The LPA was last spotted 860 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. It is not expected to intensify into a tropical cyclone.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains. /kga
