Sports champions dance to ‘1-2-2’ jingle in 1Pacman campaign sorties
MANILA, Philippines — With just a few days before the elections, the 1Pacman partylist looks back with gratitude to the numerous sports champions who gave their valuable testimonials on the achievements of the partylist in the areas of sports, education and livelihood.
As soon as the campaign period started several weeks back, the basketball, volleyball and boxing stars romped up with a fun and danceable version of their testimonials, letting people know that 1PACMAN (Patriotic Coalition of Marginalized Nationals) is number 122 in the ballot, according to Gio Panganiban, a 1PACMAN campaign coordinator and head of the social service arm of the Office of Congressman Michael “Mikee” Romero.
Dancing and songs are deemed effective for recall, studies have shown.
Celebrities, athletes, and rally attendees danced to the tune of the “1-2-2 (122)” jingle most especially in campaign sorties all over the country, Panganiban said.
“Certainly, the dancing are just perks for the main meat of the campaign — the 1PACMAN achievements through Rep. Mikee Romero and Rep. Eric Pineda,” added Panganiban.

Romero was also the proponent of the Philippine Sports Training Center (R.A. 11214) that gives way to the creation of a modern sports facility for Filipino athletes.
Another is the Free Tuition for Tertiary Education (R.A. 10939) where students are given access to quality education in state universities and colleges and state-run technical vocational institutions.
1Pacman was also behind the law to provide free Wi-Fi access in Public Places (R.A. 10929) to enable budding e-commerce entrepreneurs to better improve their businesses. /muf
