MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) will impose a 48-hour liquor ban from May 12 until May 13 to ensure “peaceful and orderly” elections.
PNP spokesperson Colonel Bernard Banac said on Thursday that a liquor ban will be imposed from 12:01 a.m. May 12 (Sunday) until 12 midnight of May 13 (Monday).
The liquor ban is part of the security preparations of the PNP for the upcoming May 13 polls, Banac said.
“Bahagi ng security preparations na ipapatupad para magkaroon ng mapayapa at maayos na halalan sa Lunes,” he said. /je
