Metro Manila to be fair but rain expected in Luzon – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and most of the Visayas and Mindanao will have fair weather with possibilities of isolated rain on Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

A frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms over Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region and the provinces of Cagayan and Isabela, Pagasa said.

Pagasa issued the forecast as it reported that the low pressure area it was tracking over the Pacific Ocean was expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility during the day.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said the LPA was last spotted 990 kilometers east of Mindanao.

This weather disturbance has a low chance of turning into a tropical cyclone. /cbb
