MANILA, Philippines — Several areas in Metro Manila experienced flooding on Wednesday night following a downpour, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has monitored.
The flooded places include:
-Edsa Ortigas Service Road traffic situation: southbound, moderately moving
-Edsa Shaw Boulevard Tunnel, northbound section, gutter deep, one lane affected
-Edsa Aurora Boulevard, northbound section, gutter deep, one lane affected
-Quezon Avenue Biak na Bato, eastbound and westbound sections, gutter deep, all lanes occupied.
Gutter-deep floods mean eight to 10 inches of water were monitored along the streets. Such height of flooding is still passable to all types of vehicles, the MMDA said.
In a 7 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Metro Manila, Zambales, Bulacan, Laguna, Rizal, and parts of Quezon are experiencing heavy to intense rain showers that may persist within two hours.
