Thunderstorms in Metro Manila, nearby provinces — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau issued a thunderstorm advisory in Metro Manila and nearby provinces on Wednesday afternoon even if the two low pressure areas near Luzon have dissipated.
“Heavy to intense rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in Metro Manila, Zambales (Iba, Palauig, Candelaria, Santa Cruz), Bulacan (Dona Remedios, Trinidad, San Miguel, San Ildefonso, San Rafael, Angat, Norzagaray, San Jose Del Monte, Quezon (General Nakar, Mauban), Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Rizal, which may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in an advisory at 5:30 p.m.
Tarlac and Pampanga will experience intense rains with lightning and strong winds in the next three hours, it added.
Pagasa advised the public to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides. /je
