Sarah Geronimo chooses Sonny Angara

GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines —Pop star princess Sarah Geronimo joined re-electionist Senator Sonny Angara in campaigning here.

Geronimo said she endorsed the candidacy of Angara because of his advocacies.

“Ako  po ay patuloy na sumusuporta at  naniniwala sa kanyang mga adbokasiya. Ito po ay ang pangangalaga sa edukasyon at kalusugan. Kaya po wala nang pagdadalawang isip pa para nandito akong muli para sumuporta para kay Kuya Sonny,” Geronimo said.

The actress appealed to the public to vote for Angara in the May 13 elections.

“Nandito po ako ngayon sa General Santos para magbigay ng suporta kay Senator Sonny Angara,” the actress said.

“Muli po, tatakbong muli si Kuya Sonny. Inaanyayahan ko po kayo na sabay-sabay po nating ibalik siya sa Senado, number 8 po sa balota, Kuya Sonny Angara,” Geronimo said.

Angara was instrumental in the passage of free tuition in state colleges and universities and the Universal Health Care Act.

In 2007, Geronimo also endorsed the senatorial bid of Angara’s father, the late former Senate President Edgardo Angara.  /muf
