PNP chief: No leads on suspect behind ex-cop’s abduction
MANILA, Philippines — There is still no lead on who could be the suspect behind the April 19 abduction of retired Police Major Lito Pirote in Bacolod City, PNP chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde said Wednesday.
“So far, wala pa silang maliwanag na lead at walang natututukan na suspect dito,” he said.
Pirote, a former anti-drug operative previously included in the President’s list of alleged narco-cops, was kidnapped by at least eight armed men on board a white Toyota Hiace van in Bacolod City.
