WATCH: 6-year-old boy killed in Caloocan laid to rest

MANILA, Philippines — Gian Habal, the six-year-old boy killed by a stray bullet in Caloocan on April 28, was laid to rest at Tala Cemetery on Tuesday.

Habal’s grandmother Elsa Montañez, who was in a wheelchair, broke into tears as she mourned in front of Habal’s casket.

An hour before the burial, Habal’s friends and family visited their house on Mabini Street to send their sympathies.

Habal was killed after a bullet struck his head as a policeman, Corporal Rocky delos Reyes, purportedly pursued a drug suspect.

The claim of Delos Reyes has been disputed by the boy’s family.
