MANILA, Philippines — Former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte on Monday slammed the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) after the man behind the monicker “Bikoy” made an appearance at the organization’s office.

The presidential son was one of the individuals tagged by Bikoy, the hooded man in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos, as involved in illegal drug activities in the country.

On Monday afternoon, a man introducing himself as Peter Joemel Advincula went to the IBP headquarters to seek assistance from the National Center for Legal Aide (NCLA).

Duterte expressed his disappointment with the IBP for entertaining Advincula.

“Kapanipaniwala daw ang mga alegasyon ni Bikoy sabi ng IBP,” Duterte said in a Facebook post. “Nakakawala ng respeto ang IBP. Mga abogado kayo, matatalino sana kayo, pero, nakapagtataka lang na ang bilis ninyong paniwalaan ang sinasabi ng isang kilalang scammer na nagpakilalang si Bikoy.”

[IBP said Bikoy’s allegation was very credible. That makes me lose respect for the IBP. You’re all lawyers. You’re supposed to be intelligent. But its a wonder how quickly you believe the statement of a scammer calling himself Bikoy.]

Duterte also urged Advincula to file a case regarding the alleged drug activities.

“Ganito. Puro satsat. Panay drama. Mag-sampa ka ng kaso. Sasagutin kita. Haharapin kita. Isama mo rin si Trillanes,” Duterte said in another Facebook post.

[How about this? You’re all talk. You’re all drama. File a case. I will answer you. I will face you. Bring along Trillanes,” Duterte said in another Facebook post, referring to Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, one of President Rodrigo Duterte’s most outspoken critics.

Abdiel Fajardo, IBP national president, clarified that Advincula was not their client, the NCLA being an autonomous body of the IBP.

For her part, NCLA head June Ambrocio said Advincula was still under evaluation.
