LPA brings rain in Metro Manila, parts of Luzon – Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — A trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is bringing cloudy skies with scattered rains over most parts of Luzon, the state weather bureau said Monday afternoon.
Metro Manila, Ilocos region, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon are affected by the potential cyclone, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The LPA was spotted 145 kilometers north of Laoag City in Ilocos Norte, according to the Pagasa bulletin.
Pagasa said it continues to monitor another LPA outside the Philippine area of responsibility that was last seen 1,230 kilometers east of Mindanao.
However, both LPAs are not expected to intensify into a tropical cyclone, Pagasa noted.
