MANILA, Philippines — The delivery of ballots for the May 13 elections in the National Capital Region (NCR) is expected to be finished by Tuesday, Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesperson James Jimenez said.

“Sa lahat ng regions, tapos na. I think tinatapos na today and tomorrow ‘yung NCR,” Jimenez said Monday in an interview with dzMM.

Jimenez said the bulk of ballots were delivered in the NCR over the weekend.

“Bulto nung delivery sa NCR naganap over the weekend at sa ngayon umaarangkada na ‘yung final testing and sealing all over the country. Hopefully, ‘yun na ang huling step kasi maghahalalan na tayo,” he said.

The final testing and sealing or FTS is an end-to-end test of the process from the initialization of the machines to the voting, feeding of the accomplished ballots to the vote counting machines (VCMs) until the printing of election returns (ERs). /cbb
