DID YOU KNOW: 1,013 new HIV cases recorded in February 2019

In February 2019, there were 1,013 new human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cases recorded nationwide, according to the Department of Health.

The figure was higher compared to the 871 cases recorded in the same month in 2018. Of the new HIV cases in February 2019, 59 deaths were reported. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
