MANILA, Philippines —Former Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and former presidential aide Christopher Bong Go vowed to El Shaddai supporters that they would render “trustworthy service.”

“Nagpapasalamat ako kay Bro. Mike [Velarde] na kasama ako sa list at umasa sila na tayo ay maglilingkod ng puno ng katapatan dahil sa Panginoon,” Revilla told reporters at the sidelines of an El Shaddai religious event at Parañaque City on Saturday.

He was referring to El Shaddai leader Bro. Mike Velarde.

“Maraming salamat kay Bro. Mike Velarde, masaya po ako dahil isa ako sa kanyang inendorso at susuklian ko ito ng serbisyo,” Go told reporters in an ambush interview.

Revilla and Go, both administration-backed candidates, were among the 14 senatorial candidates endorsed by charismatic group El Shaddai.
