Ted Te to Bar flunkers: Breathe, grieve and mourn, heal

MANILA, Philippines — “Breathe, grieve and mourn, heal.”

These were the wise words of former Supreme Court spokesperson Theodore “Ted” Te to Bar examinees who didn’t make the cut.

The high court released the results of the 2018 Bar exams Friday, where 1,800 out of 8,155 examinees passed, or a passing rate of  22.07 percent this year.

“If your name isn’t on the list — breathe, grieve and mourn, heal,” Te said in a tweet.

“Then, pick yourself up and do your bit to help because there is so much that needs to be done. And if helping means trying again, then do it.”

Because of his inspiring words, Te’s tweet became viral with 383 retweets and 1,150 likes, as of posting time.

This year’s Bar topnotcher was Ateneo de Manila University-graduate Sean James Borja with a score of 89.306 percent. /ee
