MANILA, Philippines — An alleged Liberal Party supporter supposedly tapped Rodel Jayme to create a website, which was later used to share the controversial “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos.
Jayme revealed this information Friday during a press conference at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headquarters in Manila.
According to Jayme, he gave access to the website he has created to a certain Maru Nguyen and Maru Xieto, believed to be the same person.
He said he was told that the website will be used only to highlight the achievements of the previous administration.
“Ang website po ay pinagawa lang po sa akin. Hindi po ako yung Bikoy, hindi din po ako ang nag upload sa FB (Facebook) page, hindi po ako ang nag upload sa YouTube. Wala din po akong idea kung sino po ang gumawa ng nasabing mga videos,” Jayme said.
[I was only asked to create the website. I am not Bikoy, I did not upload the video in the Facebook page. I did not upload the video on YouTube. I have no idea who created the [Ang Totoong Narcolist] videos.]
“Wala nga po akong idea na ipo-post ‘yung video (I have no idea that a video will be posted),” said Jayme, adding that after the last election he opted to distance himself from politics. /kga
