MANILA, Philippines — The 2020 bar exam will have a higher passing rate.

This assurance came from Associate Justice Leonen, who is slated to be the chairman of the 2020 Committee on Bar Examinations, on Friday.

“It [bar exams] will have a higher passing rate,” Leonen said in a Twitter post, in response to another Twitter post.

“1,800 out of 8,155 examinees passed #BarExam2018.  That’s only 22%.  Mas matindi pa kay Thanos mag-decimate.  Paano pa kaya kapag si Justice @marvicleonen na ang Bar Chairman. Huhu,” a Twitter user wrote.

The 2018 bar results only posted a 22.07 percent passing rate as only 1,800 out of 8,155 examinees passed the bar exam.
