MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with chances of scattered rain and thunderstorms are seen in extreme Northern Luzon due to a frontal system, the state weather bureau said Friday.

Landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms and gusty conditions, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The rest of the country meanwhile will be affected by the easterlies or the warm winds from the Pacific.

The Bicol region, Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain.  /muf
