MANILA, Philippines – After weeks of soaring summer temperatures, rainshowers drenched parts of Manila Thursday night.
The rainfall was reported following an advisory from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released 10:55 p.m. that heavy rain showers with strong winds and lightning will be experienced in Quezon City, Pasay City, Pasig City, Parañaque City and Makati City.
The advisory added that parts of Quezon, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Bulacan, and Batangas will also experience heavy rains.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa said.
The rain showers are expected to last from 30 minutes to one hour. / gsg
