Gutoc to Sonza: Jokes about me won’t resurrect your dead journo career
MANILA, Philippines — Senatorial candidate Samira Gutoc slammed former broadcaster Jay Sonza for asking whether she has mental problems, saying that any joke Sonza throws at her would not resurrect his dead journalistic career.
In a tweet, Gutoc slammed Sonza, a known critic of the opposition and an administration supporter, for using disabilities as jokes.
“Rape jokes, PWD jokes, they come from the same monster. I will not stand idly as you make disability a laughing matter. How far you fell from grace, and you think you can still joke your way into relevance?” she asked on Wednesday.
“I am sure it will not resurrect your dead journalistic career,” she added.

Sonza tweeted about Gutoc last Sunday, after a senatorial debate which featured her, other opposition candidates pitted against administration-backed bets.
“Question lang.
