LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced a P5 increase in the basic pay in the Bicol region as the country marked Labor Day on Wednesday.
DOLE Bicol information Johana Vi Gasga, information officer of DOLE in Bicol, said this was the second tranche of the wage increase based from the Wage Order RBV- 19 of Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board.
The new minimum wage rate shall be P310 across different sectors.
The first tranche was released last September 2018. /muf
