MANILA, Philippines — The number coding scheme will be suspended on May 1 in celebration of Labor Day, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Monday night.
MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim reminded motorists to drive safely and plan their trips during the holiday.
The MMDA said that the number coding scheme would also cover the cities of Las Piñas and Makati.
“Number coding is automatically lifted during regular holidays,” the MMDA said.
