MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4 earthquake of tectonic origin struck General Luna in Surigao del Norte on Monday night.
The Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake struck 64 kilometers southeast of General Luna at 9:37 p.m.
The earthquake had a depth of nine kilometers.
Phivolcs said no damage and aftershocks were expected from the earthquake.
This is the 28th quake that jolted the town on Monday. The earthquakes ranged from magnitude 1.8 to 4.
On Sunday, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake also struck the town.
