116 Cebu Pacific, Cebgo flights canceled until May 10

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 116 flights, or 58 roundtrip flights, of Cebu Pacific and Cebgo have been cancelled from May 1 to 10, the airline company announced Monday.

Cebu Pacific explained that the cancellations are part of the “ongoing effort to improve on time performance and reduce inconvenience” of passengers.

Noting an “unprecedented level of disruption” to their operations, with passengers experiencing “extended delays and some on-the-spot cancellations,” Cebu Pacific said it would temporarily reduce the number of their flights.

“To create space in our schedule for operational recovery, minimize rolling delays and give passengers the chance to make alternate travel plans, we have to temporarily reduce the number of our flights given the current operating conditions, particularly in our Manila hub,” Cebu Pacific said in a statement.

“Cebu Pacific is working with the airport authorities, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to make things better for our passengers,” it added.

It also vowed to continue to “exhaust all means to inform passengers as early as possible on any flight schedule changes.”
