Female octogenarian killed in Parañaque condo fire
MANILA, Philippines — An 84-year-old woman was killed as several others were injured after fire hit a high-rise residential building in Parañaque City on Monday afternoon.
Parañaque Fire Officer I Jennelyn Guzman identified the fatality as Zenaida Ouno, whose body was recovered from inside of one of the units in the Pacific Coast Plaza located in Brgy. Tambo.
Guzman said authorities declared a “fire out” around 5:22 p.m. after reaching “general alarm” around 12:37 p.m.
Earlier, Fire Officer II Hazel Sarmiento told INQUIRER.net the conflagration started around 11:52 a.m. and immediately engulfed the 21st floor of the condominium.
