Pacific winds to sweep over much of Philippines on Sunday – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – The easterlies or winds from the Pacific Ocean will affect a large part of the country on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Pagasa said the Bicol Region, the Visayas, and Mindanao would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods should also be expected by residents of affected areas during severe thunderstorms, Pagasa noted.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers but due to localized thunderstorms.

The weather bureau also warned the public against possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms. /cbb
